I believe that it is even better than Half-Life 2 (Not to say this game isn't great also), as I have played through the entire story about 10 times without getting bored.

It was really difficult for me to come to the conclusion that Half-Life was no longer my favorite. I like the original combat and level design of half life 1. There are coherent chapters with mini-bosses and quests. But when I played half life 2, it really felt like it was missing something.
