iPhone 7 Plus that showed classic signs of audio IC issue and in this case, was boot looping. Removed audio IC and found C12 loose. Ran 4 jumpers and installed new IC, phone now boots fine but I've lost vibrator motor function. Checked for any obvious issues around audio IC and on the other side of the board.
iPhone 7 Plus Audio Problem Speaker Icon Passive (grayed-Out) on Calls Case : There is no sound on calls, Voice Recorder doesn't record anything, Speaker Icon on calls is greyed-out. Solution : This issue generally (for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus) occurs when Audio Ic damaged or has broken lines/pads under the chip.
Pad C12 is the one that causes the infamous iPhone 7 Audio IC issue. You will need to jump a wire from R1103 to pad C12 in order to properly do the repair. However, I also notice a lot of what looks like random solder balls all over the place. You can also see C1926 with "extra solder" on both its ends, and L1805 all browned out.

iPhone 7 audio IC repair I have an iPhone 7 with classic audio ic problem. Speaker greyed out, took ages to start. As usual I removed the big audio ic, did 4 jumpers, reballed the ic and put it back. The speaker worked fine after audio ic repair.
Audio IC Charging IC Coil/Crystal/Diode IC CPU IC EMMC IC iPhone IC. This Big Audio IC Chip is used to control Speaker and Microphone of a iPhone 6S / 6S Plus. Certainly, there are a few components close by the Audio IC around the NAND that is underfilled, I pick away and found one loose capacitor, which isn't on the SIM1_DETECT line.
The Audio IC Chip controls or affects a number of circuits in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, such as booting, audio speakers, microphones, touch, and recording. And, as the flexing of the board damages the weld under the Audio IC Chip, it also adversely affects the resistance between the chip and an important capacitor.
Simplify. If C2432 is in fact the correct cap that should be there, then brand new meson and cumulus, no jumper, no reballs. If no touch, confirm touch power all around--meaning every power input for cumulus and meson. (of course touch power is only present when screen is present and powered on ready for touch)
