There's nothing in the Definitive Edition you can't easily get in the standard edition with the exception of maybe some cosmetic items. Otherwise, everything that comes unlocked in the Definitive is available for you to unlock with a little wrist grease in the standard version of the game. Year 2 edition's benefits are only instantly unlocking all the year one gameplay additions and a slither of the year 1 cosmetics and outfits. All the gameplay additions can be unlocked with in-game currency, so It's a good game, and worth checking out.
